Important matters

Peer pressure (sometimes also referred to as social pressure) is the effect on individuals whose attitudes, beliefs or values are changed by their peers in order to conform to those of the influencing group.

Peer pressure is quite common among teenagers since they are often easy to influence and not stable in their beliefs yet.

Sex.. And pregnancy

Even well-adjusted Varsity goers cave into peer pressure on this one. Known as the years for experimentation, Varsity provides the perfect backdrop for lowering our standards to deal with the hormones raging thought us. We’re finally free to make our own choices, but are we? Or are we just wanting to impress others rather than be mocked for still being a virgin?

Sometimes the only brakes are if we can for but a moment, understand the consequences for giving in on any of the three common scenarios. We don’t get off lightly. Whatever we do, let’s at least be sure we’re not just giving away our soul to please others who won’t remember us years down the line when we’re still paying for the consequences.
